Conditions Report: Wednesday, May 8th 2019, 5:55 am

Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:

It’s a cool and clear Wednesday morning up at Mt. Bachelor! Wednesday’s forecast is expecting partly cloudy skies throughout the day with temperatures rising into the afternoon. Light to moderate winds are expected at mid-mountain with temperatures reaching the mid 50s. Get up to Mt. Bachelor this Wednesday for some midweek spring laps!

Please note that the Skyliner lift is closed due to a computer issue. Mechanically, the lift is fine, but we need to replace a computer processor… part of the lift’s “brain”. Doppelmayr, the lift’s manufacturer, is programming a new one (specific to our Skyliner lift) and is overnight-shipping it to us. It’s a quick and straightforward installation process once it arrives. Skyliner lift’s closure also means that the Skyliner parking lot will be closed Wednesday, so please park at West Village… where you can access Pine Marten & Summit lifts and 1,500 acres of open terrain. We apologize for the disruption and we look forward to reopening Skyliner lift later this week.

Conditions Report: Tuesday, May 7th 2019, 6:01 am

Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:

Good Morning! Tuesday is starting out with some partly cloudy skies, moderate winds, and plenty of sunshine. The forecast is calling for similar conditions throughout the week, so come on up and enjoy what spring has to offer. The sweet time seems to be in the 10:30 a.m. to Noon range, and remember to bring your sunscreen!

While the season has concluded for Northwest lift, all lower westside terrain and the Summit backside, the Pine Marten, Skyliner and Summit lifts will stay on the daily schedule (weather permitting) through Sunday, May 26. The new spring boundary line on the eastside is Cow’s Face to Sunrise Getback and lower Avalanche, eventually leading to Skyliner lift. On the westside, the boundary line goes from the Summit peak hike down to the top of Northwest lift and upper Osprey Way to tower 21 road, eventually leading to the Cinder Cone saddle, Leeway run and Pine Marten lift. All included, it’s about 2,050 acres – more terrain than any other ski area still open this spring! Please respect these boundary lines and do not enter closed zones; there’s still plenty to explore in our vast open areas.

A few other things to keep in mind as Sunchaser Spring continues:

Our operating hours are now 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. daily through closing day on May 26. Spring lift ticket prices are in effect.
Park and start your day at West Village to enjoy breakfast, rent gear or buy a lift ticket. The Skyliner lot remains an option if you already have a valid ticket or pass and want to head straight for the snow. The Sunrise base area is closed for the season.
There is no longer any lift-served beginner terrain available. Visitors should be comfortable skiing or riding “blue square” terrain in order to have a fun day on the snow.
Group ski/snowboard lessons and childcare services have concluded for the season. Private lessons are available with an advance booking.
The Mt. Bachelor Shuttle is operating on its spring schedule.
