SUMMER 2020 OPERATIONS INFORMATION

Summer at Mt. Bachelor has officially kicked off! Our dedicated trail crew has been busy doing trail work for the opening of Little Pine (Swizzlestick, Lower Lava, Blade Runner, FTL trails will be open plus the easy side of the Lower Skills Park). Cross country and hiking  trails are not currently open due to snow. Little Pine operating hours are 10:00 am – 5:00 p.m. daily. See ya on the dirt!

Planned trail openings for Saturday, July 4 is Lave Flow (off top to Hanger), Hanger to Lower Lava Flow (middle Lava Flow closed below getback due to snow), Cone Run, Lower Rattlesnake off Cone (Upper Rattlesnake closed due to snow), Big Wood, Hot Dust, and Wayout is TBD for this weekend. Rockfall, Redline, and Last Chance closed due to snow. Stay tuned for updates!

 

The Mt. Bachelor summer operations beginning July 4 include:

Pine Marten Chairlift, for activities including downhill mountain biking, ZipTour zip lining, sightseeing, hiking, and disc golf begin on July 4
Food and beverage service at both Pine Marten Lodge and West Village Lodge begins July 4. Sunset Dinners reservations available now on Open Table, offering an unforgettable dining experience overlooking the Cascades at 7,800 feet
Mountain Gateway Building for mountain bike rentals, tickets and retail opens on July 4
Gravity Bike Camps, one-week sessions for children 8 to 15 years old and focusing on progression and fun, begin July 6 

*Mt. Bachelor is on National Forest Land and NO Fireworks are allowed. The use of explosive devices, such as fireworks, is a class A misdemeanor and holds a $500.00 fine. In addition, Mt. Bachelor will trespass individuals involved for one year.

Thank you for your patience in announcing our summer activities plans in this complex and unprecedented COVID-19 environment. We continue to work with the Governor’s office and with local and state health officials to balance the complexities resulting from COVID-19 and our desire to summer activities and recreation back to the community.

Beginning July 1, Mt. Bachelor will require face masks in all indoor public spaces in accordance with Governor Brown’s requirement. Mt. Bachelor also requires face masks/coverings when in lift lines, loading lifts and exiting. Please note – a full face helmet does not  meet the requirement of a face covering in the lift line.
