Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:
A quick shot of fresh snow fell on the slopes late yesterday evening yet Sunday is starting out surprisingly cold and clear! The forecast for Sunday is showing a split day that includes a possibly clear and sunny start with the chance of snow showers developing later in the afternoon. Temperatures are starting out a bit frosty, but are expected to rise into the low 20’s. Light winds are currently present at the mountain but could pick up slightly later on. Snow groomers’ have incorporated the new inch of snow into fresh corduroy which will deliver some fantastic turns today. So with Sunday lining up to be a killer day to be up at the mountain, grab the family or some buddies and come finish the weekend with some snowy turns!
The last event being hosted by Mt. Bachelor this weekend is a USASA rail jam event which will be going on today at the bottom of Pine Marten lift.
Rainbow lift had a part go down late last week and will be CLOSED this weekend. The work required for it to properly and safely resume operation could take a week or more. We will update the conditions page as we have progress updates. In the meantime, Otter Rock will stay OPEN but this comes with a reminder that if you ski/ride to the bottom of the park a short hike out will be required.
Drive safe and we look forward to seeing you soon!
