Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:
The good news: Overnight we saw cold and mostly calm skies around the mountain which does wonders for keeping yesterday’s awesome snow conditions intact. We received 1” of fresh snow early last night and also had a little bit of wind transport creating some additional snow accumulation around the mountain.
The bad news: As with all fresh things in life there is usually an expiration date that comes and spoils what you wish could have been kept around for a while longer. Unfortunately, this round of fresh snow has an expiration date of its own not too far out. Warmer weather and liquid precipitation look to be looming just on the other side of the cascades and are likely to return to the mountains in the next 24 hours.
Moral of the story: Get up here this morning for what is promising to be a good time with excellent snow conditions before it turns sloppy. Weather should be mild today with temperatures expected to reach the mid 30’s and winds light to moderate out of the northwest.
