Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:
With yesterday’s wet weather behind us, Thursday is looking to be an excellent day up here at Mt. Bachelor. The snowpack was able to dry out overnight as cold temperatures and windy conditions were found around the mountain. The improved snow conditions also allowed our grooming team to lay down fresh corduroy off of every scheduled lift for today. We received 1” of fresh snow to help soften things up and as in normal with persistent heavy winds we are seeing deeper, wind-blown, snow accumulation in many spots. Daytime highs are expected to be in the low 30’s today and winds will stick around, hopefully staying in the moderate range. All-in-all today is looking much better than yesterday so grab your favorite people and come celebrate the start of the 2020’s.
Some other reminders for you…
Early-season conditions exist with a very shallow snowpack. Keep your eyes open for marked and unmarked obstacles and stay safe by skiing/riding only in open areas.
Be sure to check out Egan’s Outpost, the Mt. Bachelor food truck, now parked at the bottom of Skyliner lift for the holiday season. Swing on by and check out our newest food offerings!
Please be aware and respectful that our Winter Uphill Travel Policy is currently in effect. Check our Hike Zone status in Lifts & Terrain section below to view which routes are currently open.
Have fun, stay safe, and we look forward to seeing you soon!
