Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:
Good morning! We have received another 2” of fresh snow overnight with continued snowfall this morning. Today’s forecast is calling for the snow to keep coming and we could expect anywhere from 4-8” during the day. Temperatures look like they will be hanging out in the high 20’s to low 30’s with moderate winds. It’s got the feeling of a storm day up here! Bundle up, grab your low light gear and come spend the day making fresh turns at Mt. Bachelor. Please use caution when driving to the mountain this morning, Century Drive is icy in many spots.
We’re open every day from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with Little Pine lift and Red Chair accessing a handful of runs. Until we receive more snow, the only groomed run from Red Chair is Thunderbird, which is in good condition and skiing/riding well. Remember that early-season conditions exist with a very shallow snowpack. Keep your eyes open for marked and unmarked obstacles and stay safe by skiing/riding only in open areas.
We need another strong storm or series of storms to deliver more snow before we can expand our lift and terrain offerings. We’re hopeful that by this weekend, when we’re scheduled to open the Sunrise base area, we’ll have enough additional snow to add more options for you. Until then, lift ticket prices remain at discounted, early-season rates. Remember to purchase online, in advance, to save $10 on each lift ticket.
Please be aware that a modified Winter Uphill Travel Policy is currently in effect. Until the snow depth increases, ALL OF MT. BACHELOR IS CLOSED TO HIKING with the exception of the Cinder Cone at West Village.
Have fun, stay safe, and we look forward to seeing you soon!
