Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:
Good Morning! Last nights snow showers brought us some much needed love, with 4 inches of new snow in the base area and some nice wind lips at mid mountain. Forecast is calling for warm temps and mild winds, with a chance of precipitation later this afternoon. So bust out your powder gear, and come spend your day with us skiing/ riding at Mt.Bachelor!
Looking ahead, RendezVan begins on Wednesday! RendezVan is the celebration of our amazing community of RVers, campers, and van-lifers who make the annual pilgrimage to Mt. Bachelor in the springtime to enjoy soft spring laps and sunshine. Families, skiers, riders, and all travelers are welcome — even the dogs are invited! All overnight spots are sold out, but day visitors are welcome to enjoy the free RendezVan festival center each afternoon and evening until 7:00 p.m. The Pine Marten lift will remain open for skiing & snowboarding each evening (Wednesday-Saturday) as well. Visit http://www.rendezvan.com to see the full schedule.
In order to prepare the parking lot for RendezVan, overnight parking will not be allowed Monday night or Tuesday night this week. And during the RendezVan event itself, only those with a pre-purchased RendezVan parking package will be allowed to stay overnight. Overnight camping is available for free at the nearby SnoParks for those who wish to camp overnight but do not have a RendezVan pass. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we introduce this amazing new Sunchaser Spring event at Mt. Bachelor!
With new low density snow comes a reminder and a responsibility to understand tree well and snow immersion hazards. Please get caught up on good safety practices and always ski or ride with a buddy in eyesight if you are headed off-trail.
