Conditions Report: Tuesday, March 12th 2019, 5:45 am

Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:

It’s a storm day at Mt. Bachelor as a weather system is moving through bringing fresh powder… along with some gusty winds. Several inches of new snow are expected, and after an initial burst of wind early this morning with the passing cold front, the wind is forecast to diminish by our 9:00 a.m. opening time. Summit will be a no-go today and we’ll need to evaluate Northwest for wind & visibility, but otherwise the rest of our lower mountain terrain should be yours to enjoy.

Remember that tree well risk is still high with deep, unconsolidated snow remaining in the trees. Ski/ride with a partner in eyesight and educate yourself about deep snow safety. Drive safe and we’ll see you soon.
