Conditions Report: Thursday, December 20th 2018, 6:00 am

Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:

Thursday brings us back to the stormy weather we’ve grown accustomed to. Winds are currently calm, but we expect to see them intensify as the day goes on. Forecasted winds may hinder our ability to operate certain lifts. We suggest checking our conditions page frequently throughout the day for updates on weather and mountain operations.

It is important to remember that even though the terrain may look inviting and skiable, hazards still exist just below the snow surface and we want to make sure all terrain is safe prior to its opening. Be safe in new snow: Read more about tree well and snow immersion hazards.

Uphill Travel & Hiking Policy  To see which routes are open in real-time, check the “Hike Zone” status below in the Lifts & Trails section. And on the mountain, obey the open/closed signs on the designated uphill route. Dogs are only allowed in the parking lot and in the vicinity of the base lodges, and must be on a leash at all times. They are not allowed to hike up the mountain with you.
