Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:
Overcast skies and a chilly breeze greeted us this morning. However, this shouldn’t last long as the forecast is calling for mostly sunny skies and decreasing wind throughout Saturday. It looks to be another beautiful spring day in the Cascades. Conditions will start firm and fast then quickly turn smooth and weighty around mid-morning. Reports yesterday from the summit were glowing once conditions softened and the overnight crust relented. Warm temperatures and bright sunshine will create irregular and dynamic slope conditions so please ski and ride with caution. Overall our spring conditions are really enjoyable and the snowpack is in good shape thanks to all the April snow showers and our hard-working grooming team. It’s a wonderful weekend for fun in the sun and we look forward to seeing you out there!
As you plan your visit to the mountain, note the following spring operational changes:
Sunrise Lodge, lift and parking are closed for the season; start your day at West Village if you need tickets, rentals, lessons or food & beverage services.
For beginners, the Sunshine Accelerator lift will operate Saturdays & Sundays through April 29. Monday-Friday, beginners can ride the Magic Carpet from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. A valid ticket/pass is required and a special carpet-only ticket is available for $10. Helmet required for youth 17 & under.
Mt. Bachelor Childcare and all services at Pine Marten Lodge are closed for the season.
