Conditions Report: Friday, April 13th 2018, 6:14 am

Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:

12 inches of snow in the last 3 days and it looks more like mid-season than mid-April around here. The new snow is dry and light thanks to the colder temperatures. The meat of the storm is behind us now, but the forecast is still calling for a chance of snow today with cloudy skies and cooperating wind. Trail conditions mountain-wide are in delightful shape with fresh snow and smooth corduroy. Northwest is scheduled to open today, conditions permitting, and it should make for some excellent skiing/riding through the weekend. We are hosting the Gerry Lopez Big Wave Challenge this Saturday, near the events arena off of Pine Marten, where surfing and snowboarding are blended to make this a one of a kind competition. Come start your weekend off early by making some powder laps here at Mt. Bachelor.

As you plan your visit to the mountain, note the following spring operational changes that are in effect:

Sunrise Lodge is closed for the season but restrooms are available.
Rainbow and Carrousel Chairs are closed for the season. Beginner terrain is available from the Sunshine Accelerator lift at West Village.
Please see the updated spring shuttle schedule if you plan to take the bus to the mountain.
