Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:
It is a fresh powder day at Mt. Bachelor! The new snow is medium density, fluffy stuff thanks to colder temperatures and significant wind loading overnight. You will find sections of drifted snow and deeper areas courtesy of the strong wind so please ski and ride with caution. It looks like the wind will begin to diminish this morning and conditions will be superb. The grooming teams worked especially hard last night refreshing our trails and laying down creamy corduroy. Conditions permitting, Outback is on the schedule for Sunday and with the new snow we are excited to get back out on the west side. The drive up is a little precarious this morning so take it easy and enjoy the springtime pow turns!
With this new snow comes a reminder about tree well and snow immersion hazards. Get caught up on good safety practices and always ski or ride with a buddy in eyesight.
Once you get here, stop by Gravity Sports in the Mountain Gateway building at West Village where our spring sale is underway. On special this weekend: Homeschool outerwear and underlayers are on sale for 40% off! This deal ends on Sunday.
Finally, as you plan your visit to the mountain, note the following spring operational changes that are in effect:
Sunrise Lodge and parking are closed for the season. We had planned to open the Sun Bar on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, but inclement weather will keep the Sun Bar closed today. Standby for its Sunday status. It’s also scheduled to operate next Friday, Saturday & Sunday (weather permitting).
Rainbow and Carrousel Chairs are closed for the season. Beginner terrain is available from the Sunshine Accelerator lift at West Village.
Please see the updated spring shuttle schedule if you plan to take the bus to the mountain.
