Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:
It is snowing and blowing this morning! The new snow falling is a welcome sight. Temperatures are nice and cool making for mostly dry, light snow. It started snowing early enough to help out the cat drivers and the groomed trails will be the best skiing until the snow stacks up. We should be in the mid 20’s with sustained, moderate winds Wednesday and we could pick up a few new inches of snow. It could be a full on storm day up in the Cascades. Please use caution if you choose to go off trail, as hazards will be buried just underneath the new snow, so pick your line carefully and keep an eye out for each other as you explore the hill. It will be some prime time mid-week riding, wax your sticks and we will see you up here.
PRESIDENTS WEEKEND INFO
New snow is in the forecast and with comfortably cold weather on the way, the snow surface for Presidents Weekend should be excellent. It’s typically one of our busiest weekends, so here are some tips to help you plan your visit:
Buy tickets and reserve lessons in advance. Visit our OnePass page to buy online at least four days in advance of your visit to save the most money. Those who pre-purchase tickets will have a dedicated (and shorter) line for ticket pick-up at our West Village ticket sales center.
RV parking will be limited this weekend. Spots will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Once they fill (probably Friday night), RVs will be turned away. We apologize for the inconvenience, but during busy holiday weekends we must maintain adequate parking capacity for our day visitors. Visit our RV parking page for more information.
Arrive early. The lifts open at 9:00 a.m., but breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m. in West Village Lodge. Ticket sales, rental & lesson services and the Gravity Sports shop open at 8:00 a.m.
Winter is expected to make a come-back for the weekend. Be prepared for winter driving conditions and have a vehicle that is appropriate for deep snow and a slippery road surface.
