Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:
This warm weather pattern has moved across the mountain with off and on rain showers overnight, setting up the hill to be fast and firm as we get going this morning. Temperatures at West Village have finally dipped below freezing level and it is currently snowing, which is a much better sight to see, and hopefully it keeps coming down! The grooming team has been out all night, setting up the groomed trails with corduroy which is where we recommend skiing/riding today, and be aware of marked and unmarked obstacles as you negotiate the mountain. Even though the rain has moved in, there is still plenty of fun to be had out there especially at our 10 Barrel Brewing’s Locals Only event (no you don’t have to be a local to participate), over on Skyliner lift, with music, food, games, and demos kicking off at 11:00 a.m.! Also, we are continuing to offer preferred parking to the first 100 cars with four or more people in them at West Village parking lot, so grab some buddies and get preferred parking. It will be Northwest kind of day up here, and regardless of conditions, it is always a good time to be making some turns in the Cascade Range.
