Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:
It’s the last day of the MLK holiday weekend and there is still a whole lot of fun to be had up here today. This morning’s corduroy will start fast and firm but will soften up quickly to make those big sweeping turns we all love. Weather is forecasted to move in before closing time today, with more snow in the forecast for later in the week that looks promising. Summit is on the schedule but will only spin as long as conditions permit. Come beat the inversion in town, with it already near 40 degrees at the top of Pine, and enjoy this last bit of spring like weather before winter returns.
The only skiing and riding off of Summit is currently confined to the groomed Bev Hills run and the Healy Heights area. Other areas, including the Bowl, the Backside and Cow’s Face, will be closed. Please respect all signage and do not enter a closed area. Note that the uphill travel route to the Summit above Pine Marten lodge will remain CLOSED until that section of the upper mountain is open to downhill skiers/riders. Please read the Uphill Travel page for more information.
Low-snow conditions still exist in areas across the mountain. Adjust your speed appropriately to maintain a safe halo from other guests and watch for obstacles. Some will be marked, others not. We recommend skiing/riding only on groomed runs until the snow base deepens. Have fun and think snow!
