Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:
It is currently snowing at Mt. Bachelor and winter conditions have returned. Snow is forecast to continue off and on this morning with more significant accumulation on the way for Tomorrow. Colder temps overnight and a light dusting allowed the groomers to blend up some creamy corduroy and improve terrain. Should feel like skiing in January today so head out early!
Remember that low-snow conditions exist across the mountain. Adjust your speed appropriately to maintain a safe halo from other guests and watch for obstacles. Some will be marked, others not. We recommend skiing/riding only on groomed runs until the snow base deepens.
Also due to low-snow conditions, the Cloudchaser Access trail (from the bottom of Rainbow) is closed. Use Bluebird or High Pressure runs, accessible from most lifts, to access Cloudchaser. Elsewhere around the mountain, Outback is poised to reopen with just a bit of additional new snow on its lower slopes. We are optimistic for that to occur in the coming days. Summit is also getting closer to opening; we’ve been working hard to construct a groomed route down the lift line. As soon as the weather clears and calms, we’ll evaluate Summit to see if we can safely open it for access to the groomed run.
Finally, note that Scapolo’s at Pine Marten Lodge will be closed Today and Thursday, but Pinnacles will remain open for beverages and snacks. Stop by our mid-mountain lodge at the top of the Pine Marten lift to warm up and grab a refreshment.
It’s the MLK holiday weekend, and for those of you with 12 Day and 4 Day Passes, remember that Saturday and Sunday are two of the 11 exclusion dates of use for those products this winter. MLK Monday is not a blackout day and we hope you can join us that day.
