Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:
After a morning of wind and ice rime the skies parted and the sun came out. This allowed us to open Outback around midday and it was riding great with several pockets of fresh snow to be had. We will have another shot of snow coming through the area Sunday morning which and could produce another few inches of snow by closing, for an early Christmas treat. We are stoked to be back in the storm cycle, with new systems moving our way every few days that will beef up our snowpack nicely. We will have Cloudchaser over to Outback open for Christmas Eve skiing, and Santa will be back on the mountain spreading cheer and shredding snow.
We ask that you please come prepared for winter mountain driving on the roads and in the base area parking lots. The first 100 vehicles with 4 or more passengers will be eligible for free preferred parking as long as spaces are available. The Clearing Rock Bar has a new and improved food menu this year, so be sure to stop by for a 10 Barrel beer and some tasty grub! New this year, lessons are headquartered at West Village, so plan to start your day at our primary base area if you’d like to improve your skiing or snowboarding skills with one of our professional coaches.
It’s already a great start to the holiday weekend, and we will have more on tap for Sunday, come on up and get some freshies, Mt. Bachelor style!
