Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:
The Cloudchaser lift opens today!!
A gorgeous, starry morning! The air is brisk and filled with the sounds of busy snow cats. We have been gifted 14 inches of fluffy, dry snow in the past 48 hours that will be skiing amazing for several days. The skiing yesterday was easy, backseat powder cruising thanks to the very dry and light new flakes. Today will be no different with cold temps overnight and the opening of new terrain. Wide open groomers on the east side and fun, bumpy sections off Pine Marten are just a few of today’s menu items. Conditions mountain wide are really shaping up thanks to the recent nourishing storm and the hard work of our grooming crews. We will continue to work hard to open more lifts and terrain for you as soon as conditions permit. With this new snow, remember that there will be hazards buried underneath the powder, so take it easy exploring off trail options and keep an eye out for each other. Also, please be aware of the increased danger of tree wells especially after this significant amount of accumulation. A definite return to winter in all its glory.
All of our base area facilities, services, and parking areas are now open for the season, including Pine Marten Lodge. New this year, lessons are headquartered at West Village, so plan to start your day at our primary base area if you’d like to improve your skiing or snowboarding skills with one of our professional coaches.
