Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:
Lots of fun had by all today. It was a fantastic day to cruise groomers and knock the rust off. Weather wise it was a laid back day with overcast skies and light winds. The snow has begun to fall and we are hoping for a little fresh snow by opening tomorrow. Regardless, the packed snow is skiing nicely and the grooming teams will be working hard tonight to give you some comfy turns on the east side Friday. Saturday is shaping up with a healthy chance of significant snow showers.
We will be operating out of the Sunrise base area for one more day on Friday, with Rainbow, Sunrise, and Skyliner chairs on the schedule. Parking and base lodge services are available at Sunrise, with parking also available at Skyliner. At West Village, we will have the Mountain Gateway and Nordic Center open, but West Village Lodge and its services will be closed.
We will be shifting operations back to the West Village on Saturday and the snowmaking teams are working around the clock to ensure the snow is in great shape. The plan is to run Sunrise, Skyliner, Sunshine, and Pine Marten lifts every day starting Saturday, with Rainbow added as needed. Snowblast Tubing will open Saturday and Sunday with walk-up tubing available. With storms on the way keep checking this page for snow, lift, and terrain status updates. See you in the morning.
