Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:
It looks like the storm will arrive midday and last through the evening. This front is forecast to drop a little fresh snow that will help out coverage. With a predicted noontime high of 35 degrees at the base it should be a pretty day. Reports from the hill yesterday were all thumbs up with quick, carveable runs and stunning weather. The grooming teams worked hard last night to give you some nice turns on the east side. Today’s conditions should be quite soft and forgiving allowing you to really lay those edges over. It is going to be a splendid day here at Mt. Bachelor so come hang out with us!
In an effort to continue making snow and pushing it around to where we need it on the West Village side of the mountain, we’ve decided to continue operating out of the Sunrise base area for the remainder of this week. This means the same three lifts will be in operation today: Rainbow, Sunrise and Skyliner, with parking and base lodge services available at Sunrise. The Skyliner parking area will also be open. At West Village, we will have the Mountain Gateway and Nordic Center open, but West Village Lodge and its services will be closed.
We’re planning to shift operations back to the West Village on Saturday with all base services operational. The plan right now is to run Rainbow, Sunrise, Skyliner, Sunshine, and Pine Marten chairs Saturday. More terrain will be added for the weekend (and beyond) as well. Snowblast Tubing will open Saturday with walk-up tubing available. Keep checking this page for snow, lift, and terrain status updates. Think snow!
