Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:
It was a beautiful one on the mountain this Saturday. Passing clouds gave us some nice pockets of sunshine and cooler temps gave way to ultra-fast slopes. We’ll start off Sunday with similarly fast conditions on the groomers, but with a warmer day on the way, the snow should soften nicely later in the morning. And with several days of sunny spring weather ahead, it looks like we’ll hit a nice cycle of corn snow conditions. Wax the carving planks and grab the sunscreen because we’ve got another killer day on deck.
Sunday is also the final day of the season for Northwest lift. Ski/ride to the bottom for a Northwest Express BBQ and have a bratwurst, sip on a brew and help us say cheers to the westside. Starting Monday, the Summit backside and the lower Northwest, Outback and Cloudchaser areas will no longer be accessible, but more than 2,000 acres will remain open – including Cow’s Face down to the Sunrise Getback (to Skyliner lift) and the upper Northwest area from Summit-top to the “21 Road” (to West Village). Please be aware of the adjusted ski area boundary and do not enter any closed areas.
We’re open every day from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. through Sunday, May 28. Spring lift ticket prices are in effect. As a general reminder, our beginner areas are closed for the season, so all skiers and snowboarders should feel comfortable riding the more-difficult “blue square” terrain in order to enjoy their day on the snow. View our Springtacular page to read more about what’s open this spring.
Looking ahead to our Finale Weekend, we hope you can join us May 27-28 for a season-ending celebration. The BrewSki beer festival is on tap both days, while the North American Pond Skimming Championships takes place on Sunday, May 28. Participation in the pond skim is limited to the first 100 entrants. Sign up now to reserve your chance to win a 2017-18 Full Season Pass!
