Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:
Snow continued to fall Tuesday afternoon in our season of endless Winter. Not the super fluff that we got back in January but good enough to sink your edges into. It looks like we have another blast coming in from the Pacific for the second half of the day on Wednesday so enjoy the groomers in the A.M. Not sure if we’ll get the top open in the morning but our crews sure will try. Our grooming team will get things primed for tomorrow and miles of corduroy perfection that will be fast first thing on Wednesday. The forescast has for clearing skies overnight and then that next round of winter weather later in the day. We have Cloudchaser over to Northwest and on up to Summit on the schedule for the morning. Roads will be slick and wintry on the way up, please come prepared for winter mountain driving and we’ll see you when you get here.
Our operations plan has changed as Sunrise lift is closed for the season. But with Cloudchaser lift still on the schedule, most of our 4,318 acres are still in play, weather permitting. Sunshine Accelerator lift will be operating on Saturdays and Sundays through the end of April but don’t fret, we’ll have our West Village Magic Carpet running mid-week for those that aren’t yet comfortable riding Skyliner or Pine Marten lifts. Staff will be out there loading and unloading guests and as with all of our lifts, a lift ticket is required. Carrousel lift tickets are valid for the Magic Carpet only and are avaiable in the Mountain Gateway ticket office. All children 17 and under must wear a helmet. Check out our Springtactular page for all the details about what’s open, where you can eat, and which types of lessons are still offered as this epic season continues.
