Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:
Great snow conditions in store this morning with temps making it feel like Winter just doesn’t want to give up. Our snowpack is in awesome shape for another day of skiing and riding on the mountain. Super soft epic groomers with miles and miles of carvable corduroy are the game plan with treasure in the trees and a few powder stashes left if you know where to look. Lifts from Cloudchaser over to Northwest are on the schedule this morning with the foescasts for temps in the mid 30s and the chance the sun will make an appearance this afternoon.
It’s been a heckuva fun weekend so far! Join us as we bring the surf to the mountain for the third and final day of the legendary Gerry Lopez Big Wave Challenge. Watch snowboarders rip on a series of wave-like features as a panel of judges score riders on everything from style and flow to best wipeout! The main events for Sunday can be best viewed from the top of the course in the Events Arena off Midway run. For lunch, be sure to swing by the West Village base area for a luau with traditional Hawaiian grub and live music before the award ceremony at 3:00 p.m. Aloha!
We’re all about carpooling this season offering those with 4 or more in a vehicle preferred parking in West Village lot as long as spots are available. With the recent return of winter weather, the roads and parking lots are snow-covered and icy as you approach the mountain; conditions will be challenging throughout this storm cycle. Come prepared for variable road conditions by driving a properly equipped vehicle, but more importantly, please take your time.
