Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:
The base and the summit sang two very different tunes today. While it was a soggy garbage-bag rocking Saturday in West Village, the upper mountain saw temps just under freezing for the entire day and accumulated roughly 6” of fresh! Currently it is snowing at the base and weather models show this cooling off trend continuing into Sunday with precipitation and winds tapering off by later this evening. Looks like things are shaping up to make for an absolutely killer day on all fronts for Sunday…March skiing doesn’t get much better than calm, clear skies overhead and perfectly softened snowpack topped off with a fresh layer of cream cheesy pow. We plan to have our full roster of lifts operating for tomorrow, and seeing that it’ll be one of the nicer days we should get all week, there’s a good chance conditions will allow us to open Summit! Throw on that spring-wax and cruise on up to take advantage of this beautiful weather whiles it lasts!
We’re all about carpooling this season – on weekends we offer those with 4 or more in a vehicle preferred parking in West Village lot as long as spots are available. With a busy day ahead, best to get an early start and beat the rush…join us for breakfast in Cocoa’s Cafe from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and then head over to Gravity Sports in Mountain Gateway and check out our Spring Sale where you can find up to 20% of hard and soft goods.
It’s that time of year for our Springtacular Season Pass sale. Pricing and spring season operation plans are spelled out here. You won’t want to miss what is shaping up to be an amazing spring on Mt. Bachelor.
Our terrain park crew started the jump build for the second annual 10 Barrel Brewing Hella Big Air here in the West Village Base Area. This year’s action will be even hotter than last year with plenty of hucking and a live show from Lyrics Born! Mark your calendars for next Saturday, March 25 and join us for a HELLA good time!
