Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:
Outback lift will be closed Monday as we begin repairs to a secondary gearbox unit. Our best estimate is that the closure will last for at least a couple of days. We will pass along more specific information as we learn it. In the meantime, Northwest lift can provide access to all of Outback’s terrain, weather permitting.
We’ll be in deep storm mode up here all week, limited visibility and heavy snowfall will make conditions on the road challenging. Please come prepared for winter conditions by driving a properly equipped vehicle and taking it easy on the way up. Afternoon snow totals will also make it a challenge to get out of the parking lots when your day on the mountain is over. Plan ahead, get an early start, be patient and most importantly, have fun when you get here!
Mt. Bachelor is proud to host the USCSA National Championships this week. Collegiate participants, family, volunteers and officials will be here all week in support of alpine racing, freestyle and Nordic events. Complete information about the championships is available on the USCSA website, including information for spectators. The competition venues will include the Thunderbird, Leeway and Midway runs along with the Slopestyle Arena and select Nordic trails. Welcome and good luck!
