Conditions Report: Saturday, February 18th 2017, 6:09 am

Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:

We are in between storms Friday afternoon with a great day of skiing and riding behind us and another to look forward to on Saturday. Make sure to join us tonight at the Mt. Bachelor Après Ski Bash at Crow’s Feet Commons in Bend for a fun party to start the weekend. The next in a series of winter storms will arrive this evening with another blast of cascade powder in store for tomorrow. Mother Nature has blessed us with great snow conditions and it looks to continue heading into the holiday weekend. Saturday should be a storm day on Mt Bachelor with fresh tracks and deep turns in store. Conditions permitting, we’ll have Cloudchaser over to Northwest ready to go for your powder schralping pleasure, but check back in the morning for the latest updates. It is going to be a busy one, make sure you get an early start.

Be prepared for winter mountain driving of all sorts and pay extra attention in the transition from town to the mountain. It’s best to take your time, be cautious and we’ll see you when you get here.

PRESIDENT’S WEEKEND TIPS FOR A SMOOTH HOLIDAY WEEKEND

BUY LIFT TICKETS, RENTALS AND LESSONS IN TOWN

Save time by visiting our sales offices in Bend or Sunriver the day prior to your Mt. Bachelor visit. The Bend office, at 531 SW 13th Street, Bend OR, is open 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. daily. Our Sunriver office at 57100 Beaver Dr #26, Sunriver, OR 97707 is open 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 16 to Saturday, February 25. At either location, you can purchase lift tickets for the next day, reserve a ski or snowboard lesson and begin the equipment rental process. By visiting one of these locations the day prior, you can significantly speed up your experience at the mountain the next day.

EARLY OPENING THIS WEEKEND

Our Mountain Gateway sales center in the West Village base area will open at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. This is where you can buy or pick-up lift tickets, rentals and lessons. We strongly recommend an early arrival if you’re renting equipment or taking a lesson. Check-in lines can get quite long for those who arrive after 9:00 a.m. Also, breakfast is served at Cocoa’s Café in West Village Lodge starting at 7:30 a.m. Arrive early, get checked-in, enjoy breakfast and be ready to ski or ride when the lifts open at 9:00 a.m.

WEEKEND BLACKOUT FOR SELECT TICKETS AND PASSES

This weekend, being President’s Weekend, is a blackout period for 12 Day Passes, 4-Passes and SKI OR RIDE IN 5 participants. Other pre-purchased discounted lift tickets may also be invalid to use this weekend as well. Note that the blackout period only includes Saturday and Sunday. President’s Day, Monday, February 20, is NOT a blackout day.
