Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:
Majestic Mt. Bachelor in the blazing moonlight on this pre-dawn Saturday morning, can’t find a cloud in sight. The crunchy squeak of super-fast corduroy is the plan for today. Miles of epic groomers and lots of sunshine will greet us Saturday. Our snow conditions really turned around from the havoc earlier in the week and the skiing and riding will be awesome today. Our lower mountain lifts make up the schedule for Saturday. It’s is going to be busy this morning, so get an early start and make sure you bring the sunscreen.
We are happy to welcome Vertfest 2017 to the mountain this weekend. Vertfest Mt. Bachelor is an event to celebrate winter and backcountry culture with a full weekend comprised of races, clinics, demos, beer and fiesta. Check it out in the West Village on Saturday.
We have seen a good amount new snow on top of a few melt-freeze cycles on the roads getting up here and we ask everybody to use caution on your drive up to the mountain. While the roads may have cleared in some areas, other sections are seeing tricky driving conditions, please be careful on your ride up here. The parking lots are also going to be slippery on Saturday, take extra care navigating your way from the lot to the hill. Plan ahead, get an early start, be patient and most importantly, enjoy yourself when you get here!
