Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:
So it’s not going to be bluebird with 2 feet of new on Thursday, but we can reminisce about how many epic days we’ve had so far during this amazing 2016 – 2017 Winter Season here at Mt. Bachelor. Thursday will be a storm day but r**n and not snow is how this story begins. Wet and windy conditions on deck for Thursday with the shiny light at the end of the tunnel being more snow on Friday. Wind will be the big culprit as we are expecting gusts to significantly hamper how we operate tomorrow. It’s going to be wet but skiing and boarding, even in the r**n, is still a lot of fun
Expect to see a variety of snow and wind conditions on the mountain – from wet soaked wind-blown drifts to sections that have been scoured of any new snow, be prepared for it all. Tree wells are always a factor but even more so during a storm. Please educate yourself on tree well safety and ALWAYS ski or ride with a partner in the trees.
It is always a good idea to take it easy on the roads. With the wide range of weather conditions on the drive up, the roads can be challenging if you are not properly equipped for winter mountain driving. Plan ahead, get an early start, be patient and most importantly, enjoy yourself when you get here!
