Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:
There’s nothing like some spring-ish days on the mountain in the middle of winter to help thaw out a bit and lift the spirits. We were happy to see the sun break through this afternoon, giving way to patchy clouds and beautiful mountain panoramas. For Monday, we expect to see much of the same conditions we experienced today – grey skies, breezy winds, and soft groomers – with the exception of temperatures dipping a bit lower for tomorrow. Come carve those fast laps while you can, because snow showers will be back on Tuesday and are expected to carry on throughout the latter part of the week. Gusty winds on upper mountain foiled our plans to open Summit for the entire day and we have an inkling we’ll be faced with the same situation tomorrow, so be sure to check back in the morning for the freshest lift status update. Otherwise, Cloudchaser over to Northwest will be open and ready for riding!
While roads are beginning to clear up in town, we’re still experiencing winter conditions on the way up to the mountain. The roads are considerably icy in spots, making it challenging if you are not driving a properly equipped vehicle. Plan ahead, get an early start, and most importantly, take your time.
Come have a blast on Mt. Bachelor!
