Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:
Saturday was a great day of skiing and boarding here at Mt. Bachelor. Mild winter temps and 4,318 acres to ride. We did see a slight high overcast move over this afternoon but sunscreen was still in play. Ground Hog Day isn’t until Tuesday, but same plan for tomorrow. 360 degrees of riding choices, light winds, temps in the 30’s and miles and miles of groomed corduroy. That includes Wanoga, a 2 mile carving fanatic’s dream, from the top of Summit to the bottom of Cloudchaser.
We’ve expanded our carpooling and now have more spots to offer those with 4 or more in a vehicle. Carpoolers get Free Premier Parking and with more spots available, it is a great way to beat the morning rush. We have a busy Sunday ahead, getting a jump on everybody to first chair begins with a hot breakfast in Cocoa’s Café starting at 7:30 a.m.
USASA Slope Style #3 in the Events Arena on Sunday. This event, open to all Freeskiers and Snowboarders, is another great way to enjoy Mt. Bachelor. If you have the chance come check it out!
While roads are beginning to clear up in town, we still have winter conditions on the mountain. The roads are still considerably icy in spots, making it challenging if you are not driving a properly equipped vehicle. Plan ahead, get an early start, and most importantly, take your time.
Come have a blast on Mt. Bachelor!
