Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:
Can’t beat a day like today. Blue skies, lots of sunshine, panoramic views riding off the top, great snow, no wind, mild winter temps… it was a lot of FUN! Good news is we get a chance to top that on Saturday with the same sunny skies and great conditions. We are also excited to offer the longest groomed run in Central Oregon. With nearly 2 miles of corduroy on a single trail, Wanoga is an edge masters dream come true. The plan is to get the entire mountain ready to go first thing in the morning. It will be hustling and bustling on Saturday so getting an early start will be a good idea. Expect bright sunshine, light winds and afternoon temps in the mid 30s, make sure to pack the sunscreen.
We’ve expanded our carpooling and now have more spots to offer those with 4 or more in a vehicle. Carpoolers get Free Premier Parking and with more spots available, it is a great way to beat the morning rush. We have a busy weekend ahead, getting a jump on everybody to first chair begins with a hot breakfast in Cocoa’s Café starting at 7:30 a.m.
Lots of fun on Saturday including the USASA Slope Style #2 in the Events Arena.. This event, open to all Freeskiers and Snowboarders, is another great way to enjoy Mt. Bachelor. If you have the chance come check it out!
While roads are beginning to clear up in town, we still have winter conditions on the mountain. The roads are still considerably icy in spots, making it challenging if you are not driving a properly equipped vehicle. Plan ahead, get an early start, and most importantly, take your time.
Come have a blast on Mt. Bachelor!
