Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:
We had a little bit of everything Thursday afternoon, deep turns, super groomers, temps in the 20s, an occasional passing snow shower and we even saw a bit of blue sky above Mt. Bachelor. More snow in the forecast for Friday as yet another blast from the Pacific rolls in. Colder temps will make this another round of the nice and fluffy we all want to see. We have our lower mountain lifts from Cloudchaser over to Northwest on the schedule for Friday, conditions permitting. With the low amount of traffic on the hill the past couple of days Friday looks to be an awesome day with plenty of untracked turns for all!
With the howling winds from earlier in the week, expect to see a range of snow conditions on the mountain – from deep wind-blown drifts to sections that have been scoured of any new snow, be prepared for it all. Tree wells are always a factor but even more so after a storm. Please educate yourself on tree well safety and ALWAYS ski or ride with a partner in the trees.
Please take it easy on the roads. With the wide range of weather conditions on the drive up, the roads can be challenging if you are not properly equipped for winter mountain driving. Plan ahead, get an early start, and most importantly, take your time. We look forward to seeing you all up here!
