Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:
Conditions were nothing short of prime today…between the healthy dose of Vitamin D served up by the sun and the intoxicating effects of flying down groomed packed powder, spirits are at an all time high. What’s even better is that the forecast is calling for more of the same for Monday with the exception of a slight increase in temperatures. The weather inversion we’ve been experiencing is expected to continue as well, so you can expect to find some warmer temps at mid-mountain, than you will at the base. For Monday we’ve got it all scheduled, from our full roster of lift operations providing access to 4,318 acres of skiable terrain, to all of our facilities and services available including the Snowblast Tubing Park.
But incredible conditions aren’t the only thing on tap for tomorrow, we’re also hosting the second Red Chair Rally of the season with Deschutes Brewery! This event is calling all snow jockeys, beer-pong pros, and everybody in between as we celebrate our mutual love of beer and winter at our Red Chair lift. Swing by the base of the lift to score some free Red Chair NWPA samples (21+) and to see what other goodies are up for grabs on the ski down from above!
It’s been a hoppin’ MLK weekend so far, and with that we’ve been seeing quite a bit more traffic both on the roads and on the mountain. Plan ahead and get an early start – we offer breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in Cocoa’s Cafe so you can enjoy a hot, hearty meal slopeside before grabbing that first chair. Consider carpooling or taking the Mount Bachelor Shuttle to minimize congestion on the roads. Carpoolers with 4 or more in a vehicle get free preferred parking in West Village lot while spots last! And in even better news, 12-pack and 4-pack pass-holders are off the blacklist and back in the clear for Monday…welcome back. We look forward to seeing all of you up here.
