Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:
SNOW in the forecast again for Tuesday. You would think this might get old but it never does. The plan for tomorrow is storm riding, Mt Bachelor style. Overnight totals should keep us in powder mode and with nearly two feet of snow in the last 3 days, it’s gonna be good. In fact it’s great and getting better by the minute! We have Cloudchaser over to Northwest on the schedule, conditions permitting, so it won’t be hard to find fresh turns in the morning. A note for Tuesday, we will have closures in the Rainbow lift area as our crews work hard to complete construction, please follow the directions below when leaving the Cloudchaser lift area.
Getting back to the front-side from Cloudchaser. We are re-constructing Rainbow Chair in a shorter alignment and on Tuesday, all terrain running in and under the Rainbow lift is closed – including the Sunrise Getback trail. This means that the only way to exit the Cloudchaser area is via the Cloudchaser Crossover trail – the high cat track, skier’s right, off the top of the lift. Just follow the series of green-dot markers posted on bamboo sticks to guide you from the top of the Cloudchaser lift to the top of Sunrise lift.
Please come prepared for winter storm conditions on the mountain as well as on the roads getting up here. Mounting snowfall totals could make it even more challenging on the roads and in the parking lots later in the day. Plan ahead and get an early start.
Have fun, drive safe and we’ll see you when you get here.
