Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:
The hammering continues. 8 inches at the stake and counting. Not bad for a daytime snowfall total. Saturday was a tale of two stories. An amazing new blanket of super killer pow and windy conditions that hampered operations. Sunday looks like we might see more of the challenging side to that tale. We expect stormy and blustery conditions to be the story of the day. You never know what Mother Nature is actually gone throw at us so check back for the latest updates on tomorrow. Keep in mind that tree wells are unforgiving and become increasingly deeper during the storm cycles – ski or ride with a partner!
Please come prepared for winter storm conditions on the mountain as well as on the roads getting up here. Please use caution and common sense on your drive up to the mountain.. 4WD or AWD vehicles are highly recommended. Afternoon snow totals and a chance of mixed precipitation on Sunday could make it even more challenging on the roads and in the parking lots later in the day. Plan ahead and get an early start.
It’s the weekend and our Carpool program is in effect, 4 or more in a vehicle get free preferred parking, when available.
Sunday will be another great day for our Kid’s Multi-Week Lesson Programs. Check in at the lesson area next to the Yurts in the West Village base area. Another of our lesson programs meeting on Sunday is our famous Ski Or Ride in 5. Those participating in this program meet at our Sunrise Lodge base area. Our Ski or Ride in 5 program is a great deal that aims to get “never-evers” hooked on the mountain lifestyle we all love. Enroll in the life-changing experience by January 31, 2017 and learn how to take advantage of these powder days like the rest of us.
Don’t forget about the USASA Boarder Cross and Ski Cross on Sunday in the events area. If you get a chance, come check it out.
