Conditions Report: Saturday, January 7th 2017, 5:53 am

Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:

Right on time, this next round of snowfall has begun. Only an inch overnight but we are just getting started. Saturday will be a mix of snow and heavy snow.  Gotta love that! The entire lower mountain is on the schedule for Saturday, conditions permitting, and If you have a choice of days to ride this weekend Saturday looks to be the best of the two.

Please come prepared for winter storm conditions on the mountain as well as on the roads getting up here. The visibility on the roads will be challenging.  HIGH CLEARANCE 4WD or AWD vehicles are recommended. The storm has just gotten started so afternoon snow totals will make it even more challenging on the roads and in the parking lots later in the day. Plan ahead and get an early start. Keep in mind that tree wells are unforgiving and become increasingly deeper during the storm cycles – ski or ride with a partner!

Need to turn a good buddy with no experience into a fellow powderhound? This week kicks off the start of our Ski Or Ride in 5 program for the season, a killer deal that aims to get “never-evers” hooked on surfing that powdery white stuff. Round up those rookies to enroll in a life-changing experience by January 31, 2017.
