Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:
A wealth of sunshine overhead and dry snow underfoot helped us shake off this morning’s bitter cold and get after the remaining powder bounty from the beginning of the week. In terms of weather for Friday, we’re expecting another round of those blue skies that we saw today, but calmer winds and a nice little warm-up in temperature to the high-teens. Groomers will be hard and fast and there are still plenty of pockets of deep powder out there if you know where to find them. A heads up that Thursday’s winds played a few tricks with snow surfaces and have created some inconsistencies in coverage or depth throughout the mountain. Before heavy storms roll back our way this weekend, we can soak up the fact that this short stretch of perfect weather has afforded us to open 100% of our terrain, so you can expect to have 360-degrees worth of runs from the top of Summit tomorrow. We sure are getting the best of both worlds this week, come on up and rip a few!
Keep in mind that tree wells are unforgiving and have become increasingly deeper with the most recent storm – ski or ride with a partner! Need to turn a good buddy with no experience into a fellow powderhound? This week kicks off the start of our Ski Or Ride in 5 program for the season, a killer deal that aims to get “never-evers” hooked on surfing that powdery white stuff. Round up those rookies to enroll in a life-changing experience by January 31, 2017.
We’re looking forward to seeing you up here!
