Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:
This winter just won’t quit, and we are digging it! Mother Nature has been throwing us a snowstorm at least once a week like clockwork, and for the first week of 2017 we’re squeezing in at least two. Forecast is calling for significant snowfall to start this evening and continue through most of Wednesday. Temps are projected to stay low, so you can expect more of the same light, dry powder we’ve been getting all week. In terms of total accumulation, we’re seeing a pretty wide range in the forecast, so keep those snow dances up in the hopes that it lands on the heavier end! Either way, you can count on our grooming team to transform anything that comes their way into soft carpets of corduroy by the time lifts start spinning tomorrow. Please be prepared for winter storm conditions on the mountain as well as on the roads! Plan ahead, drive a properly equipped vehicle, and take your time…there will be plenty of fresh tracks for all.
While these waist-deep stashes are wildly fun to find, keep in mind that tree wells are unforgiving and becoming increasingly deeper with each storm – ski or ride with a partner! Need to turn a good buddy with no experience into a fellow powderhound? This week kicks off the start of our Ski Or Ride in 5 program for the season, a killer deal that aims to get “never-evers” hooked on surfing that powdery white stuff. Round up those rookies to enroll in a life-changing experience by January 31, 2017.
We’re looking forward to seeing you up here!
