Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:
With the holidays behind us, Mother Nature is getting back to business bringing on the snow. After a calm day of intermittent snowfall, we’ve stacked up 19″ of blower powder at the snowstake in the past 48 hours. Snow is forecasted to taper off to trace amounts this evening, giving us a short break before an accumulation-hefty storm rolls in Tuesday night. If this week’s weather pattern is any indication of what else is in store for 2017, it looks like we’re in line for a pretty bang-up season. Tuesday you can expect low temps again, accompanied by cloudy skies and mild winds…the perfect combination for us to throw Summit on the lift schedule!
While the double overhead turns have been wildly fun, keep in mind that tree wells are unforgiving and getting deeper with each storm – ski or ride with a partner! Need to turn a good buddy with no experience into a fellow powderhound? Today kicks off the first day of our Ski Or Ride in 5 program, a killer deal that aims to get “never-evers” hooked on surfing that powdery white stuff. Round up those rookies to enroll in a life-changing experience by January 31, 2017.
Please be prepared for winter storm conditions on the mountain as well as on the roads. Plan ahead, drive a properly equipped vehicle, and take your time…the snow will still be here.
We’re looking forward to seeing you up here!
