Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:
Cloudchaser! Today is the day that many have dreamt about. Our new lift and over 600 acres of new terrain become a reality this morning. The fun starts after the Grand Opening Ceremony at 10:30 a.m. at the bottom of the lift. Light snow showers and cold temperatures are in the forecast and with nearly 2 feet of new snow in the past 48 hours, the skiing and riding should be superb on Friday. Please come join us celebrate this milestone event and be a part of Cloudchaser’s opening day.
For the early birds, grab breakfast at Cocoa’s Café in the West Village Lodge starting at 7:30 a.m. and then ride Pine Marten over to Clouchaser. Tomorrow will be a historic day, get an early start.
Just a reminder that the snow is deep EVERYWHERE, especially in the new terrain opening up this morning. Tree wells are unforgiving and potentially fatal. It is critical that you SKI OR RIDE WITH A PARTNER!! Keep each other in sight at all times, be respectful of our signage and staff, and have fun!
Come prepared for deep snow conditions – on the mountain and on the roads. A vehicle properly equipped for winter driving conditions is essential, as are patience and safe driving practices. Sunrise Lodge has opened for the season, making all of our base facilities and services open on Friday.
And don’t forget, join us for the first Mt. Bachelor Apres Ski Bash of the year at Crow’s Feet Commons, tonight from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
