Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:
Another 10 inches overnight making some impressive totals and powder on the mountain. Some of the precipitation was of the wintry mix variety. Not enough to affect riding conditions but may pose some challenges to the crews getting the lifts up and running. Today is going to be another day of fresh tracks and deep turns. Weather permitting we will have Sunrise over to Northwest in operation today.
The snow is deep EVERYWHERE, especially on the Westside and in the West Bowls. It is critical that you SKI OR RIDE WITH A PARTNER!! Keep each other in sight at all times – the tree wells are unforgiving and potentially fatal. Be smart, be respectful of our signage and staff, and have fun!
Come prepared for deep snow conditions – on the mountain and on the roads. A vehicle properly equipped for winter driving conditions is essential, as are patience and safe driving practices. Sunrise Lodge has opened for the season, making all of our base facilities and services open today. Take your time, get up here early and enjoy a hot breakfast in Cocoa’s Café starting at 7:30 a.m.
Finally, we invite you to celebrate with us this weekend as we debut Cloudchaser, our newest high-speed quad lift and 635 acres of new terrain. The lift is scheduled to open following a Grand Opening Ceremony at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 16.
The snow conditions are amazing and there’s no end in sight to this awesome start to winter. We look forward to seeing you soon at Mt. Bachelor!
