Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:
Sunday looks to be another snowy day at Mt. Bachelor. Lots of fresh powder and possibly some blustery conditions in the forecast. All lower-mountain lifts and runs from Carnival to Kangaroo will be yours to explore if the wind & weather allow. We’re also hosting the first Red Chair Rally of the season with Deschutes Brewery. Red Chair NWPA has just been released and this is your chance to score some samples at the bottom of Red Chair. Some other goodies await on the ski down from above as well.
We’re still deep into storm mode, so be prepared for deep snow conditions – on the mountain and on the roads. A vehicle properly equipped for winter driving conditions is essential, as are patience and safe driving skills. We’re also encouraging carpoolers; those with four or more people in a car get a prime parking spot at West Village on weekends & holidays. Get an early start, beat the traffic and enjoy breakfast starting at 7:30 a.m. in Cocoa’s Cafe.
As for parking, there’s plenty of room at West Village. Skyliner lot is available, too, but you’ll need to already have an active pass or ticket if you choose to park there. Sunrise Lodge and parking aren’t open yet, so please do not enter the Sunrise parking area. (The Lodge & parking open on Wednesday, December 14.)
Now that more of the mountain is open, our lift tickets are at regular winter season ticket prices. But you can save a lot of cash with our 4-Pack – it allows for 4 scattered days on the mountain this winter. The $249 4-Pack is only available during a special sale that ends Monday at noon. Buy now before time runs out!
Finally, mark your calendar for next weekend as we debut Cloudchaser, our newest high-speed quad lift and 635 acres of new terrain. The lift is scheduled to open following a Grand Opening Ceremony at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 16. Enter to win our First Chair contest on our Facebook page!
The snow conditions have been amazing and there’s no end in sight to this awesome start to winter. We look forward to seeing you soon at Mt. Bachelor!
