Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:
Dumpity dump dump dump. Powder Alert! Mother Nature backed the truck up and it has been dumping all afternoon. For Saturday Sunrise joins the daily lift schedule, as does Outback. All lower-mountain lifts and runs from Carnival to Kangaroo will be yours to explore if the wind & weather allow. Forecast is calling for another day of snow so don’t miss out on all this early season powder.
For those of you making it to the mountain on Saturday we have the Drink Water Double Tap head to head race going off in the halfpipe. And Scapolo’s will be making its seasonal debut this weekend open from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 pm. Beat the crowd and escape the morning rush, enjoy a hot breakfast at Cocoa’s Café starting at 7:30 a.m.
With all this deep snow comes some responsibility. A vehicle property equipped for winter driving conditions is essential, as are patience and safe driving skills. We’re also encouraging carpoolers – those with four or more people in a car get a primo parking spot at West Village on weekends & holidays. Even though Sunrise lift is now open for the season, the Sunrise Lodge and parking lot do not open until Wednesday, December 14. You’re welcome to start your day at West Village or at the Skyliner lift (if you already have a ticket or pass).
In addition to all of the fun coming up this weekend, we are excited to announce the Grand Opening of the new Cloudchaser chairlift on Friday, December 16th.
