Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:
Well, we got rocked with snow today! The mountain racked up 11” in the past 24-hours and it looks like we’ve got colder temperatures and another serving of powder in the forecast for tomorrow. Snowfall is projected to peter out at some point this evening, but will be picking back up mid-morning on Monday. Skyliner, Sunshine Accelerator, and Pine Marten lifts are scheduled to operate tomorrow from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Check back in the morning for an up to date report!
Snow came down hard and fast today making road conditions impassable for ill-equipped vehicles. WINTER READY 4-WHEEL DRIVE & AWD VEHICLES WITH HIGH-CLEARANCE ARE A MUST FOR TOMORROW…frustrations and dangerous conditions may be in store without it. We’re expecting more of the same for tomorrow, so come prepared for winter storm conditions both on and off the slopes.
We’re serving breakfast in Cocoa’s Cafe starting at 7:30 a.m. daily this season. Beat the traffic and get an early start before the weather kicks into high gear tomorrow morning to enjoy a hearty breakfast before first chair.
Early season conditions exist on the mountain – and on the roads. Watch for marked and unmarked hazards when skiing/riding and remember that we’re all still getting our winter driving skills back in shape. It’s never a bad idea to slow your roll…the snow will still be here. We’re also launching a carpool initiative this season! On weekends, get a premiere close-in parking spot if your car is carrying at least four people. (Space available on a first-come, first-served basis.) Let’s all do our part to minimize traffic and encourage safe driving on Century Drive.
A friendly reminder that our winter Uphill Travel Policy is in effect. This means you can hike the Cone, but all other areas of Mt. Bachelor are closed to uphill travel. Thanks for your cooperation and respect for everyone’s safety.
Finally, we’re less than a week away from opening additional lifts and terrain. The Sunrise and Outback lifts are scheduled to open for the season on Saturday, December 10. Additional lifts & terrain will follow soon thereafter.
Hope we see you up here for another round of powder tomorrow!
