Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:
After an icy start, Saturday turned into a great day. The sun even made an appearance. The forecast for Sunday is for increasing snow and possibly some blustery conditions. Make sure you check here starting at 6:15 a.m. to find out the latest on the storm and how it might affect operations. Lift status is always indicated in real-time below.
We’re serving breakfast in Cocoa’s Cafe starting at 7:30 a.m. daily this season. Get an early start, beat the traffic and enjoy a hearty breakfast before first chair.
Early season conditions exist on the mountain – and on the roads. Watch for marked and unmarked hazards when skiing/riding and remember that we’re all still getting our winter driving skills back in shape. It’s never a bad idea to slow down. We’re also launching a carpool initiative this season. On weekends, get a premiere close-in parking spot if your car is carrying at least four people. (Space available on a first-come, first-served basis.) Let’s all do our part to minimize traffic and encourage safe driving on Century Drive.
A friendly reminder that our winter Uphill Travel Policy is in effect. This means you can hike the Cone, but all other areas of Mt. Bachelor are closed to uphill travel. Thanks for your cooperation and respect for everyone’s safety.
Finally, we’re less than a week away from opening additional lifts and terrain. The Sunrise and Outback lifts are scheduled to open for the season on Saturday, December 10. Additional lifts & terrain will follow soon thereafter.
Keep thinking SNOW… and we look forward to seeing you on the mountain!
