Good morning shredders! Here is your daily dose of Mt. Bachelor conditions:
After a beautiful clear day afforded us crystal clear mountain views, not to mention a break from the wind and weather, we’re ready for more snow! And it looks like we’ll be getting what we’re wishing for…temps will be dropping again and scattered snow showers are forecasted for the rest of the week with this front’s first flurries expected to fall this evening. Snow on the slopes stayed cold and dry today and our grooming team will be hustling to work in the packed with the pow to deliver prime conditions. Check back tomorrow morning for an up to date report!
Regardless of the forecast, you’ll want to consider getting up here early and enjoying a hearty breakfast. Beat the traffic and enjoy a leisurely start to your ski day by joining us at Cocoa’s Cafe, opening at 7:30 a. m. daily. If you missed it today, remember it for the future!
While all the new snow is exciting, please keep in mind early season conditions still exist. Our grooming team is working their magic, but hazards are just below the snow surface. Stay on the groomed runs for now. Better safe than sorry.
Finally, a word about hiking. Our winter Uphill Travel Policy is in effect, meaning that you can hike the Cone, but all other areas of Mt. Bachelor are closed to uphill travel. Thanks for your cooperation and respect for everyone’s safety.
We’re stoked that our winter season is underway. Lifts are turning, the Nordic Center is open, Snowblast Tubing Park is open (Friday-Sunday) and all of our West Village base area services are open & available to you. Breakfast starts at 7:30 and the sales center & season pass desk open at 8:30. Welcome back. Join us for some early season turns.
